The Health and Safety Technician (HST) certification covers occupational health and safety. This certification demonstrates competency in cleaning, maintenance, and restoration industries concerning the Global Harmonized System (GHS) and health and safety principles. The certification cover engineering and administrative controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment used in each specific industry or trade. The certification promotes the importance of hazard and risk assessments and implementing controls on the identified hazards. The hierarchy of hazard controls is emphasized so that eliminating, reducing, and controlling hazards will become the focus of health and safety instead of just regulatory compliance. Upon achieving the certification, you demonstrate you have the skills, knowledge, and awareness they need to save lives and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses and recognize and appreciate the value of health and safety on the job.

IICRC Exam Fees: There is an $80.00 fee for certification exam; retests will be $80.00. These fees are in addition to the registration fee, and are paid directly to IICRC. Please check out this IICRC video on how to register directly with the IICRC for the test.

He can share the value of understanding and following such an important industry document. As a restoration business owner, he can offer guidance when the job seems to run contrary to the industry accepted standard of care.

He has trained technicians, adjusters, project managers, owners, indoor environmental specialists, lawyers, sales reps, estimators, and administrators, guaranteeing that even the seasoned veteran will learn a little something in class.
We have a very easy cancellation policy! Full refund if cancelled more than 30 days from the class date. If less than 30 days, you may move to the next class, or apply tuition to any class of your choice, or switch to another student to attend and no cancellation fees will be applied.
In the rare instance that the instructor has to cancel the class, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to a future class.
